Professional title: Rechtsanwalt, awarded in Germany

Professional liability insurance: Zurich Versicherung, Deutzer Allee 1, 50679 Cologne. The geographical area of validity is the Federal Republic of Germany. The insurance cover does not apply to liability claims arising from activities a) through law firms or offices established or maintained in other states b) in connection with the provision of advice and dealing with non-European law c) of the lawyer before non-European courts.

Out-of-court dispute resolution
In the event of disputes between lawyers and their clients, there is the possibility of out-of-court dispute resolution upon request at the regional bar association in Cologne (pursuant to section 73 para. 2, no. 3 in conjunction with section 73 para. 5 BRAO) or at the arbitration board of the legal profession (sections 191 f. BRAO) at the Federal Bar Association (e-mail: schlichtungsstelle@brak.de).

The competent consumer arbitration board for property disputes arising from the client relationship up to a value of 50,000 Euros is the Arbitration Board of the Bar, Rauchstr. 26, 10787 Berlin, www.schlichtungsstelle-der-rechtsanwaltschaft.de/

We do not participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

Right of withdrawal
If you instruct lawyer Altun-Turak as a consumer to advise and/or represent you in your matter using exclusively means of distance communication (e.g. telephone, e-mail, fax, website, post), you have a statutory right of withdrawal. According to § 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB), you are only a consumer if you, as a natural person, conclude a legal transaction for purposes which can predominantly be attributed neither to your commercial nor to your independent professional activity.
